Author Guidelines

Submitting Your Manuscript to JGBI

The Journal of Global Business Insights (JGBI) is an international, open-access, double-blind peer-reviewed journal. There are no submission or publication fees.

All manuscripts must be original work that has not been previously published and is not simultaneously under consideration by another journal or publication.

As a general rule, JGBI does not accept manuscripts with a similarity index greater than 20%. In addition, similarity attributed to any single source should not exceed 2%. Submissions are checked for originality using plagiarism-detection software.

Double-Blind Peer Review

JGBI follows a double-blind peer-review process. Authors must ensure that the manuscript submitted for review is fully anonymized.

The manuscript should not contain identifying information such as:

• Author name(s)

• Institutional affiliation(s)

• Acknowledgements

• Project or funding numbers that identify the author(s)

• Other information that could reveal the identity of the author(s)

Authors should also ensure that identifying information has been removed from the document properties/metadata.

Formatting Requirements

JGBI has no general formatting requirements for the initial submission. However, manuscripts accepted for publication must comply with the journal's Final Manuscript Preparation Guidelines.

For final manuscript preparation:

• Submit the manuscript as a Microsoft Word document (.doc or .docx).

• Use US Letter size (8.5 × 11 inches), not A4.

• Manuscripts must be written in English and in the third person.

• The abstract should not exceed 250 words.

• Include no more than six keywords.

• The complete manuscript should normally not exceed 17 pages or 9,000 words, including references, tables, figures, acknowledgements, and appendices where applicable.

• Use APA 7th edition style for in-text citations, references, tables, and figures.

• Ensure that every citation appearing in the manuscript is included in the reference list and that every listed reference is cited in the manuscript.

• Tables, figures, and charts must be complete, correctly titled, and appropriately referenced in the text.

• Permission must be obtained for copyrighted material reproduced from other sources.

Authors are encouraged to use the official JGBI manuscript template when preparing the final version of an accepted manuscript.

Editorial Processing

Submitted manuscripts are initially screened for compliance with the journal's Author Guidelines and for suitability within the aims and scope of JGBI.

Suitable manuscripts proceed through double-blind peer review. Reviewers evaluate the manuscript and provide recommendations and comments to the editorial team. Authors may be requested to complete minor or major revisions and provide responses to reviewer comments.

A manuscript may be accepted, returned for revision, or rejected based on the editorial and peer-review process.

Copyright and Open Access

Authors retain copyright to their work. Published articles are made available under the Creative Commons Attribution-Non-commercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) license.

Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce copyrighted material from other sources.
